OUR STORY
Working with the environment to provide a more sustainable farming future

ABOUT MANOR FARM
The farm was bought in 1982 by Patrick and Diana Chick (David's parents). The farm is beautifully located within the Cranborne Chase AONB, and is situated on mostly chalky limestone soils. Over time the farm has evolved from a mixed arable and dairy farm, to now a predominantly arable focussed business. British Farming has changed a huge amount in the last 60 years, and the farm has adapted by moving from a once plough based tillage system to a more sustainable minimum to no-till system.

Here at Manor Farm we are care deeply about working with nature, reducing our carbon footprint and helping produce high quality food more sustainably. To increase business resilience to the impact of more extreme weather seasons, we have diversified into providing commercial and office lets sourced from renewable power, as well as providing Self Storage for the surrounding area.

We farm a range of arable crops including Winter Wheat, Winter Barley, Winter Oilseed Rape, Spring Barley and Spring Peas. We also grow multi-species Cover Crops which we graze with sheep before all of our spring crops are planted.
Our Team
We pride ourselves on being a family run business, and have been for 3 generations. At crop harvest and planting time it's all hands on deck, and we love being able to farm as a close knit team throughout the year.
